I had the opportunity to take my daughter out tonight with her friend Claire and her Dad. Walleyes were on the menu but really it was about the time with the girls. We had plenty of fish hooked but only two to the boat in about two hours. My daughter, Kate, caught her first walleye by herself, casting and bringing it in to the boat to the net. Her smile and giggle was priceless. The rest of the night was filled with girl talk and Pandora radio to Carly Rae Jepsen, not the norm with ON THE FLY, but she is my little girl. AJ and I continued to throw for the rest of the night hoping to silence the radio with a big hit, but I think the plan was already made to let the girls have their night. Take a kid fishing and it will change your perspective on life, I promise!!!
